Ci è già capitato di narrare queste vicende, i loro eroi e le loro mitiche gesta (leggi qui). Ma quella che stiamo per celebrare ora, non è solo un capitolo di una tendenza della moda, ma la sua epopea.
Dopo che Pierre Cardin fece scendere il suo cavaliere sulla terra, le Muse vennero invocate dagli aedi: la faraonica sfilata di Galliano per Dior, Afrodite impersonata da Kylie Minogue, fino ad una divina Madonna al Super Bowl. L'Olimpo rispose all'invocazione. Dal cielo caddero le folgori di Giove, forgiate da Vulcano nelle più oscure profondità della terra. E divennero calzature, metalliche e fiammanti come armature lucenti.

Pierre Cardin was the first one to set down his knight on the earth, then the aoidoi invoked the Muses: Galliano’s pharaonic fashion show for Dior, Aphrodite embodied in Kylie Minogue, up to a divine Madonna at Super Bowl. Mount Olympus heard their call. Jupiter’s thunderbolts fell down from the sky, as Vulcan forged them in the dark depths of the earth. And they became shoes, as much metallic and flaming as shiny body armours.

Rigorosi, austeri, gravi e solenni. Gli Hurts, duo britannico formato da Theo Hutchcraft e da Adam Anderson che cavalca l'onda della musica elettronica e del synth pop, hanno varcato la soglia del successo solo dal 2010, ma il loro stile inconfondibile è già diventato un classico. La moda si è innamorata perdutamente di loro ed Emporio Armani è il marchio che li ha vestiti per il loro tour europeo. In attesa che ritornino in Italia, in concerto all'Alcatraz di Milano il 26 Ottobre, dalle passerelle compaiono suggerimenti per poter imitare i loro look severi e impeccabili, a metà fra l'essenzialità di un Amish e la smaccata eleganza di un gangster cinematografico.
