Louis Vuitton Watches for America's Cup

Dopo Napoli, l’America’s Cup World Series sbarca a Venezia.

The America’s Cup World Series heads to Venice, after Naples’ success. The challenge starts today and will end on May 20th. Waiting to know who the winners are, Louis Vuitton watches are unmissable for those who love the sea, but still in a stylish way. The French fashion house, which is the official timekeeper of these challenges, is so connected to the sailing world that decided to create two new timepieces available in the Vuitton stores. The “Quartz Tambour Regatta America’s Cup” celebrates the 34th edition of the America’s Cup that will take place in San Francisco in 2013. A limited numbered edition of 1851 pieces, in honour of the America’s Cup foundation date. Among the particularities, it is possible to vary the countdown, which can be programmed between one and ten minutes, because the departures’ rules are different each edition and the defending team decides them. The “Tambour Regatta America’s Cup Automatic” is specifically related to the America’s Cup World Series, with a countdown of 5 minutes, as decided by the winners of the last edition.
Keeping a strong sporty identity, both watches are light and undoubtedly elegant, also thanks to their colours that we deeply love and that are Nob par excellence.

A Passage to India - Indian Fashion in Menswear

India is not far anymore after “Slumdog Millionaire” by Danny Boyle and a process of globalisation always more pervading that brought “made in Bollywood” film productions in national TV schedule. Nevertheless the cultural differences spotted by E. M. Forster at the beginning of twentieth century in “ A passage to India” still exist.
Flashy silks, embroideries, fabrics and sequins shine in menswear leading us to faraway lands, with a touch of curry. An orientalism for those who crave for exoticisms, something different, not just to satisfy senses, but also to find answers to the immediate problems. Perfect examples can be the movie based on the homonymous book “Eat, pray, love” or the geographic escapes led by the artist Luigi Ontani. Even Canali, Chanel and Frankie Morello undertook this path, providing a one-way ticket to self-pursuit.

Louis Vuitton Classic Serenissima Run in Venice - The Experience

Each of us cherishes the myth of a glorious past, a gold era made of dreams, a nostalgically romantic vein as the one of Gil, who is the protagonist of the movie “Midnight in Paris” by Woody Allen. The impulse of desire usually drives us to collect memories, to create gaps towards distant worlds, reachable only through the magic of objects. These objects lose the soulless gloss of the antique when beauty and value become unquestionable universal qualities. Louis Vuitton knows it well, considering the fact that all along it has been covering with agility all the streets that lead to the most desired goal in the fashion world: becoming a classic. An aim shared with the most renowned automobile companies that produced some of the four-wheeled jewels of the “Louis Vuitton Classic Serenissima Run”, which is a classic cars competition that this year took place from 23rd to 28th April, from Monte Carlo to Venice. We attended the prize awards ceremony and the gala dinner together with Mike and Gabriel of Cup of Couple, in a weekend of pure and timeless style.
