Bain du Soleil - Vintage Swimwear for Men

Sensualità e righe a profusione.

Is the summer heat hardly bearable?
We invite you to dive… into the past.
Alexis Mabille, in collaboration with the underclothes brand HOM, presented for the first time a line of underwear and swimwear with a retro touch, directly from the times where men used to wear bathing suits with straps. It is a travel back to the 19th century, at the origins of the male body’s liberalization process, when men decided to be comfortable even for their leisure time outdoors. The beach outfit was a knitted striped swimsuit, which is an item that became always more tight until it was replaced by swimming trunks in the ‘30s.
What does remain today of this heritage of hidden and then finally exposed bodies? Sensuality and stripes in profusion.
