Dior Fahrenheit 25th Anniversary

Fahrenheit, l’intramontabile fragranza maschile firmata Dior, compie 25 anni.

The timeless Dior men’s fragrance Fahrenheit celebrates its 25th anniversary.
It is a distillate of creative intuition and revolution, forged under the aegis of art.
The inspiration comes from New York, with the vision of “Fahrenheit 1982” and “Brighter than the sun”, which are bold artworks by the pop artist James Rosenquist, characterized by a red magma colour. Like a bolt of lightning this fragrance debuted in the male world in 1988, after the meeting that merged not only the visual of the paintings with the emblematic colour of the essence, but also the artist’s method with the conflicting soul of Fahrenheit. Indeed as Rosenquist used to associate elements of different contexts, activating unusual links and opening new causes of reflection, in the same way the masculine and feminine meet in the scent of violet and wood and leather, creating unexpected olfactory delights. A world of opposites visible also in the advertising campaign, where earth meets sky, water meets fire. This beauty concentrate has been enriched by the chance poetry, which is the oxygen of twentieth-century art, the vehicle of aesthetic shock from Dadaists to Jackson Pollock. It is said that Fahrenheit signature derives from a perfume trunk left open air under the sun, transformed by the nature in a unique and unprecedented fragrance. Same chance for the bottle. Its red shades were accidentally created in the glass manufacturers’ laboratories of Saint-Gobain.
Fahrenheit: the aura of a myth, the life of a legend, the eternity of art.
