L'Olimpo rispose all'invocazione. E divennero calzature, metalliche e fiammanti come armature lucenti.

We have already talked about these affairs, their heroes and legendary deeds (read here). So we are not here to celebrate a fashion trend, but its epic.
Pierre Cardin was the first one to set down his knight on the earth, then the aoidoi invoked the Muses: Galliano’s pharaonic fashion show for Dior, Aphrodite embodied in Kylie Minogue, up to a divine Madonna at Super Bowl. Mount Olympus heard their call. Jupiter’s thunderbolts fell down from the sky, as Vulcan forged them in the dark depths of the earth. And they became shoes, as much metallic and flaming as shiny body armours.
