Un mese di pausa per riposare, ma soprattutto per riflettere. In agricoltura si chiama maggese, il tempo in cui un campo è lasciato senza alcuna coltivazione mirata e si lascia che il terreno torni ricco e vivo prima che diventi arido.
Nel corso del tempo l’albero che vi è cresciuto ha subito piogge incessanti e raffiche di vento impetuose. Il suo fusto è deviato, il suo equilibrio incrinato. Inverni troppo lunghi prima che arrivassero primavere sempre troppo brevi, giunte come inebrianti promesse mancate. Il tempo del raccolto tanto anelato non è arrivato. Ma la linfa scorre ancora. Le radici sembrano forti.
Una cara amica un giorno mi ha detto che i frutti tardivi sono sempre i più dolci e succulenti. Allora non ci resta che cogliere questo dono prezioso: la fiducia.
Una nuova stagione è alle porte. E speriamo in un’ottima annata.

A dear friend of mine once told me that the late fruits are always the juiciest and sweetest of all. So there is nothing left to do but picking this precious gift: the trust.
