La macchina fotografia Polaroid è ormai un pezzo da collezione per instancabili amatori della fotografia. La sua istantaneità la rese uno strumento insostituibile per i professionisti del settore, tra questi il grande fotografo di moda Helmut Newton. Immagini da considerare come opere a sè stanti, ma nate come atto preparatorio e guida per lo scatto definitivo, quando ancora il mondo digitale non esisteva e sviluppare una fotografia era anch'esso frutto di maestria e sapienza dal sapore alchemico.
Un catalogo che è del tutto privo di un testo critico ben approfondito sul tema e sull'autore, limite che ne abbassa il valore e l'appetibilità per l'acquirente. Rimane tuttavia un ricco repertorio visivo del lavoro di Newton.

These images were born as a preliminary act and guide for the final shot, but we consider them as separate, in an era far from the digital one when developing a photograph used to be a real art with an alchemic taste.
This is a catalogue lacking an in-depth textus receptus about the theme and author, and consequently this reduces the value and appeal for the purchaser. It remains anyway a rich visual repertoire of Newton’s work. Those who are waiting for an indiscreet peek about the most famous fashion editorials’ backstage will be disappointed, as the Polaroid shots don’t differ that much from the final ones, fully resembling the glossy and glamorous world in every flawless instant.
