LOUIS VUITTON FALL/WINTER 2015-16 FASHION SHOW REVIEW! AUTUNNO/INVERNO 2015-16

Come?
Bravo come sempre, Kim!

What is the most revolutionary tool to fight against the conformism of fashion? The savoir-faire.
Two terms that, in a time where excess is rule and norm, sound like pleasing melodies that interrupt a constant noise we are unfortunately accustomed to. The exploratory joy of creating is Kim Jones’s goal for this new menswear collection, inspired by the 80’s English designer Christopher Nemeth who struggled with the conceptualism of the previous decade to recover the importance of craftsmanship, disassembling and restructuring old suits, ropes and linen mail bags, showing the stitching of clothes, making deconstruction in a luxury way his own aesthetic. It’s a signal to remember the archetypes of clothing and to be focus on what is really important in fashion now: the art of making good quality products in a world obsessed by image.
Through the traditional crossed graphics of Nemeth, Kim Jones reminds us that ideas have to be the fuel to show our skills in making extraordinary and valuable things, and not only a justification to hide emptiness. This is especially true in the fashion world.
Well done Kim! As always!
